Professor Raufu Ayoade Dunmoye
Professor Raufu Ayoade Dunmoye is a Foundation member, Board of Trustees, of the Society for International Relations Awareness (SIRA). A Professor of Political Economy at the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria where he had his B.Sc. in Social Sciences (Second Class Honours Upper Division) in 1975, and M.Sc. degree in Political Science, 1979. His PhD in political economy was obtained in 1986, from Toronto University, Canada. His career as an academic spanned a period of 40 years at the Ahmadu Bello University during which he held various key appointments notable among which are, Student’s Adviser, Department of Political Science, ABU, Zaria (1976 – 1981); Secretary, Nigerian Journal of Political Science, (1979 – 1981); Editor, Nigerian Journal of Political Science (1988 – 1991); Member of University Senate (1991 – 1993) – (2001 till date); Member, Management Committee, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; Guest Lecturer, Foreign Service Academy, Lagos 1991 till date; Guest Lecturer, National Defence College, Abuja, 1998 till date. He was awarded ABU Vice Chancellors Merit Award for Meritorious academic and administrative service in 2012.
He is also a member of many academic and professional bodies which include: Member, Political Science and International Relations; Member, Accreditation Committee, International Politics and Law, University of Legon, Ghana; Member, Nigerian Political Science Association; Member, Canadian Association of African Studies; Member, African Association of Political Science; Member, Nigerian Institute of Management; and Member, African Strategic and Peace Research Group (AFSTRAG).
Professor Dunmoye was elected as one of the five members of the Board of Trustees of the Nigerian Political Science Association -2018.
